As God reveals himself and although there is only one God, he eternally exists in three Persons: The Father, the Son and The Holy Spirit and we cannot have one without the others. It is a concept that is not discernible through reasoning alone but can only be revealed through God himself. Thus, it is truly a ‘mystery of faith’. The Father has always been the father to the Son, the Son has always been the son to the Father and all are unified only through the Spirit. Therefore it is only through the trinity that love can exist as love is relational and can not exist through one sidedness. “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth” (John 1:14). It is only through each of the Persons that God exists with and within eternal love. Without the Spirit, there is no power or divine force to reshape humanity. Without the Son, the love of God cannot be transmitted and understood by people. And without the Father, there is no king to fight the evil and injustice. It is only through the trinity of the power, the source and the way that make God, all seeing and powerful.
The orb represents each of the Persons engaged in a complex and divine matrix, separate but all connected. This concept is further emphasised through the reversibility of the pendant’s orientation as it can be worn either way.
